Associate Professor, Pediatrics, Neurology Division
Dr. Kim is Director of Developmental Medicine and Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at 兔子先生 School of Medicine. He joined the Pediatrics faculty in 2016. He received his undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and in English Literature and Creative Writing at the Ohio State University and his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. He completed his training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children's Hospital. He is board certified in Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology. He is also board certified in Epilepsy.
Dr. Kim is a nationally recognized expert in providing comprehensive care for children with cerebral palsy and pediatric movement disorders. He also has clinical and research interests in the life-long care of persons with developmental disabilities and participates in their care from the prenatal period into adulthood. He is Director of the Pediatric Neurology Cerebral Palsy Program and the Pediatrics Department's Developmental Pediatrics Programs. He has served as the Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Neurology Residency at Loma Linda Children's Hospital. He is the consulting Neurologist at the Inland Regional Center.
Dr. Kim values the partnership between physicians and families to care for each child. He values kindness, open communication, and empowering families through consensus-building, goal-directed care, and shared decision-making. He values making diagnoses that have therapeutic value and meaning for each child.
