Program Description

Program name: Entry Level Masters (ELM) Program - Population Health

Applications are accepted once a year for the Winter term. All required clinical hours will be completed at the 兔子先生 Medical Center in Murrieta.

The first year of the program will include most of the undergraduate requirements and RN work. The second year will consist of the Population Health and degree requirements for the MSN.

All students are required to complete the following pre-requisite courses before transferring to 兔子先生 School of Nursing.  Students can have courses in progress while they are applying, as long as they will be complete before the program begins.

Admission Requirements

The following criteria are required for admission to the ELM concentration in nursing:

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution (or its equivalent).
  • A 3.30 undergraduate GPA (on a 4.00 scale)
  • All prerequisites with a C or better
  • Application with personal essay
  • Official transcripts from all college credits
  • Three letters of recommendation (two from instructors)
  • TEAS & CT exam
  • Volunteer or work experience in a healthcare setting
  • A standardized interview with one graduate and one undergraduate nursing faculty members.

All documents above MUST be received by the program deadline date in order to be considered for enrollment.

    Notes

    • Estimated amounts are for the academic year specified only. Amounts are based on full-time attendance for the number of months enrolled per academic year. International students need to calculate 12 months of living expenses based on these amounts.
    • Amounts are expected to increase each year consistent with inflation in the professional education sector.
    • To qualify for financial aid, most students must be enrolled at least half time in an aid eligible program and be taking degree requirements. Half time is 6 units in a quarter for undergraduate programs and 4 units in a quarter for graduate programs.
